Xcel was started in 1982 by Ed D'Ascoli in the bedroom of his Sunset Beach house on Oahu's North Shore, and has been based in Haleiwa since 1990.
Born in Hawaii but designed for every ocean, Xcel makes wetsuits from warm-water tops to heavy winter suits, with a focus on sealed seams, stretch and durability — including neoprene-free options.
