Jack O'Neill opened one of California's first surf shops in 1952 and became a pioneer of the neoprene wetsuit, the invention that let surfers stay in cold water for hours. The brand grew up in Santa Cruz.
O'Neill still builds wetsuits for every temperature, from summer springsuits to hooded winter suits, alongside its surf apparel.
