Channel Islands started in Santa Barbara, California, in 1969, when Al Merrick began shaping for the local crew. His boards went on to carry Tom Curren and Kelly Slater through world-title runs, and "CI" became one of the most recognised logos in surfing.
Today the line-up runs from tour-level shortboards to fun, forgiving all-rounders like the Happy, the Fishbeard and the Rocket Wide — built for real surfers in everyday waves, not just the pros.
